Benjamin is an innovative, solution orientated professional with progressive experience in providing strategic direction and oversight of high quality programs and services on college campuses. I possess a strong commitment to student development and possess ability to apply development theory and learning based outcomes to enhance student engagement and retention. Dedicated to assisting under served populations achieve academic success. Over the past five years I have worked at a variety of public institutions and have consistently positively impacted the departments and students I serve.
As an educator and a scholar, Benjamin has contributed to both regional and national conversations on issues related to facilities management, sustainability, inclusion, and the use of physical space on campus. As a doctoral student in Sociology he explores the impact of physical space on marginalized student populations, the connection between universities and the cities they reside in, and the experiecnes and challenges LGBTQ+ students face on campuses.
